This was really fascinating, with the depiction of an otherwise fictional world incredibly vivid. The middle part did feel overly long, and therefore the ending felt particularly rushed.

A character driven book set on a remote island, following Charlotte as she navigates everyday life.
I loved the characters in this one and the book had some really amusing sections that had me laughing out loud. The pace was much slower than what I'm used to and I decided to finish the book with audio instead. This was a great decision because the narrator really brought everyone to life and it's made me excited to follow Charlotte's journey in the next book.
