Female main character made it very hard to get thru this book. Wanted to love it but didn’t so much unfortunately.

── .✦ "Theo loves easily. That's just his nature. But he doesn't often love hard. He keeps that part of himself, the one that's seen loss too, locked up tight where it can't get hurt. But you, girl? He loves you hard."

Book four in thr Chestnut Springs series followed Theo Silva (Rhett's protoge) and Winter Hamilton (Summer's sister).

This was quite a good book, especially and even when Winter was agitated and grumpy at the start when she and Theo first met.

I loved seeing how the family took up their places for her even when Theo didn't know, and I loved that she slowly let them in little by little.

Vivi was adorable, and I can only imagine what a wonderful life she has in Chestnut Springs. Hell, I wish I was Vivi. Can I be her?

Theo was a good character, and I adored how he reacted to seeing/finding out that Vivi was his daughter and that he'd never been told about her. He was just so distressed at having missed everything. I loved how Winter was able to see that he was being genuine as well.

Wasn't fully what I think others saw, but I can definitely see the appeal.

It’s probably no surprise that this is another 5 star read for me. This might even be my favorite in the series now.
I resonate so much with Winter. I also bear the nickname Ice Queen. I love that she is paired with the reckless, playful Theo. Their banter made me actually laugh out loud.
I really thought I would hate the secret baby trope, but it didn’t put me off. If anything, it made me love Theo even more because he was instantly the best dad. He worships the ground that his girls walk on and I’m here for it.
