I just adore these books - this is my second Emily Carroll and I love the dark and macabre stories which are just plain creepy. But most of all I adore the art style - I love the use of colour and I think it’s amazing how she is able to capture the sinister in her drawings. Love it!

Carroll’s art is beautiful and disquieting, making excellent use of colour and space. Overall an impressive and deeply creepy collection of stories, putting new spins on familiar tropes, each more unsettling than the last.

My only issue is that the ambiguity of the endings makes me feel almost feral with wanting to know what happens next. (Although a strong case could be made that this is the desired effect.)

I really enjoyed the art in this graphic novel. The stories were not bad, but left a little things a little more up to the reader’s imagination than I like.

I love Emily Carroll's books so much, this is the second I have picked up.

The stories are dark without being too scary, just a little unsettling.  The art style and the way its coloured is perfectly matched to the contents of the stories.

I feel like... I need to know what happens next in the last of the stories but I think that is probably the point!

I would read this again!
