I can see how this book isn’t for everyone but it was most definitely a book for me. This book is brutally honest fiction about what modern dating is like. Many of the characters are flawed but that’s what made it feel real and believable. Absolutely loved it (and the audiobook reader did a great job too)!

I really liked this book! Needed something more upbeat after my last book, and while this isn’t a true rom com, it still fit the bill. Plus, it was really insightful at times.
Not my typical read but I still really enjoyed it! Light, fun, tender, easy, likable.
I love, love, looooved reading this book!! Absolutely gobbled it up!! This book has changed my frame of mind for the better, especially about the prospect of not being in my 20s anymore in four years time
I know I’m only in my mid 20s — I can’t help but feel I’m behind on life when it comes to these personal milestones. Especially as a woman.
But I know it doesn’t really mean anything really! Life will take its course and present you the lessons and joys one needs to relish in.
Ghosts really became that book for me where I can reassure myself as a woman it will be okay. Also reminded me that it is both a beauty to reminisce on past versions on yourself, friends and loved ones. Those past versions do eventually become ghosts but they’re not gone. The same idea can be applied to navigating a parent with Dementia and being ghosted in dating. Both different scenarios of dealing with a “ghost” yet still have a similar effect on the individual. It’s painful but love and comfort sometimes do come with pain but it will eventually be fine.

so good!! Mandy/Nancy reminded me so much of my own mother. Dolly Alderton does god’s work by making British people seem almost normal

Fun read. Lola character was super funny. But, I have a few gripes: there's too much going on for every single character, which made it hard to keep track of what the main arcs are. I didn't like that every woman wanted to have kids, and Nina's chew-out of Jethro was way less satisfying than hoped for.
