OMG the feels. Wow, this book was amazing. Seeing how hard it is to get a full understanding of people you love, even yourself, and how important it is to let time do it's healing.

This book was ok.
The characters were ok, the plot was ok, everything about it was … ok, I just kept expecting more.

introverts are united in this cozy book club:
A unique story about people who will become friends, while dealing with being alone in their own way. They all have one thing in common their love for books. Throughout the book we see a character development: different aspects of the book are highlighted such as connection through common ground, growth, acceptance and choosing what makes on really happy.
the ending was so lovely

To go from giggling out loud at the line "I've forgotten more about the Roman Empire than you Will ever know in your life" to hate reading/skimming, this book was wild. I should have loved it because I like books and unlikely friendships and watching people deal with grief. But this felt... flat? I only understood Characters through the eyes of others, and those perspectives were Incongruous with how the character Presented themselves. Also, many of their problems felt so small, which I understand May be an unfair criticism. But, it wasn't for me.

When lonely librarian Sloane Parker finds herself building a strange friendship with an old curmudgeon by the name of Arthur McLachlan, her life will turn upside down. Sloane lives in a small town as a librarian and while she doesn’t consider herself lonely... she is. She finds herself looking forward to the visits from the mean old man Arthur who comes by to browse the shelves and cheerfully insult her. Their little barbed back and forth get make her day. Yet when Arthur doesn’t show one morning... and the next.. Sloane becomes worried and breaks the code, she looks up his address and goes to him in person. Sloane finds Arthur bedridden and though he hates to admit it, happy to see her. soon Sloane decides to create a book club in order to bring some more cheer into Arthur’s life and the lonely misfits in their little town find their way into the book club. Soon friendship, love, and so much more begin to bloom as these lonely hearts all find a friend in one another and the stories they love. This was a very charming and super sweet story about friendship. It’s a cozy and heartwarming read that I think will definitely touch the heart strings!

Delightful book. Reminds me Anxious People but for a book club. Slow to start, but I fell in love with all the characters.
