Super belated review, but this was a really sweet found-family story! I love any book with an old curmudgeon that eventually softens as time goes on and has one person that he really gets along with, and that book hit the spot. Everyone had their trauma and pain and it was dealt with in such a perfect way in this family setting that really brought everyone together. Definitely worth the read for something nice and light!

Not a fan. The characters and plot are incredibly boring, and I felt like the author was trying really hard to be "deep" but the story and character development was just bland. Could have been executed better.

Very sweet. I’m a sucker for a story with a varied group who all make change in each other. And for people who love (and quote!) books.

I've been so bad at keeping up with reviews but I enjoyed this especially the unique style of storytelling through the different povs in smaller sections instead of changing between them. I found some of the povs were stronger than others, Maisey was my absolute favourite I absolutely loved her! The book club and what it represented for everyone involved was so heartwarming and the many ways that loneliness can be such a part of so many peoples' lives but that they could all find a place to feel wanted and find a found family was soo sweet to watch. I love books about books and seeing what they can mean to people, how much they hold the memories of our lives but also our loved ones was so beautifully woven into the story. Also, although this isn't a page-turner in the traditional sense it reads soo fast.
