This book was so sweet. It took a little to get going, and I initially found the jump to a second character point of view a little jarring, but the love that the characters had for one another and then the forming of a scrappy book club made me smile. Loneliness isn't spoken about enough and it was great to see people of all walks of life portrayed that way. I didn't quite get all the book references, but I don't think you needed to, to get the overall themes. Great book to round out my 2023 book challenge.

This book makes me wish “annoying” was a mood option …
I really wanted this to be heartwarming, but the characters felt criminally one-dimensional and, as a result, the message that Lucy Gilmore attempts to convey felt incredibly forced. This truly is the first time found family has given me the ick, but I just couldn’t with this one.

Loved this book and the joining of unlikely friendships. This was a heartwarming book for me. Seeing how the different people come together to cheer each other up through books.

One of the best books I’ve read in a while. I will update this when I’ve thought the book through.
