Wren intrigued me in the trilogy so having her the MC here was really great. She was really well written and her straying between the human and elven world was neat. The story dragged initially IMO but once it got going, it went hard. Predictable twist but not in a bad way. Also a soft villain origin story even though I’m sure she will not stay like this, I liked it 4/5 stars
**revised to 3/5 after the sequel which was written way better

This book had potential to be as good as the rest in the series, but I couldn’t connect enough to care about the characters.
