ms holly black never disappoints

devoured this and got me out of a terrible book slump

now i see what people meant about jude and cardan being pissed at wren

as much as i'm on board for a villain arc, i fear wren may be in trouble and also that perhaps the betrayal was not as big as it was made to seem by the prisoners throne summary BUT i understand why she was pissed and did what she did. i support woman's wrongs

It‘s so fun to be back at Elfhame! I missed Jude and Cardan A LOT but Suren is such a badass too and Oak is also very morally grey, so their story is also interesting and twisty. I can‘t say it compares to the original trilogy but I‘ll start The Prisoner‘s Throne right away because that ending was crazzyyy

This is more like a 2.5 ⭐️ for me.
I just think I’m too old to really appreciate some YA fantasy at this point.

this was pretty good! i feel like oak kinda lacked a personality which was a little disappointing, and the beginning definitely was a little slow, but the plot twists were nice and it picked up towards the end
