i can't give it lower than 4.25. i just can't.

just whenever you think you gonna guess what's gonna happen next, jessa hasting gives you an upper cut and leaves your jaw on the floor.

don't get me wrong, these characters can be annoying and exasperating (srl) but there's always something grabbing me again. my relationship with bj is so complicated, like i "love" you as a character but if i knew you in real life, i'd punch you.

this book made me happy, sad, genuinely shocked and laugh out loud.

all in all, fuck all of these characters, except tom and, the love of my life, henry.

I really wanted to be obsessed with this, but it didn't hit the spot like I wanted it to. I love me a toxic romance, but there were too many things that didn't add up/were just TOO unrealistic and ridiculous that I couldn't get obsessed with it. I like it enough to continue the series though and I've heard it only gets better.

4⭐️ Read if you’re interested in: “Gossip Girl” meets British high society on crack with a touch of English gangs

First of all, my god that was messy (not the book itself, but the characters). It was painful — mind you, a good kind of painful — to watch the characters fight and f**k each other over like that. Like watching a car crash unfold in slow motion. I will say, I predicted the fallout and who was involved, but the drama and constant back and forth had me very invested. At times it did feel repetitive, I don’t think I would’ve stuck around for all the bs if I was in their friend group, but that’s probably what made it so good. My mind struggles to wrap itself around the idea of loving someone so intensely and wholly that being hurt like that for years is forgivable (of course until it’s not). But a very good read, I’m extremely invested in the rest of the story and am starting “Daisy Haites” immediately.
