3 stars as I noticed alot of spelling mistakes and I normally don't. Decent storyline and I liked the main characters.

Hidden Pieces by Paula Stokes is a contemporary thriller. This is the first book of Paula's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. She does an amazing job pulling you into the story. I couldn't wait to find out how it was going to end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves YA Contemporary Thrillers.

In my opinion, a perfect beach read - if you enjoy a good teen mystery with a classic revenge plot, set on the scenic Oregon coast, you'll enjoy this book. Character driven, you will be guessing right up until the last chapter who has been blackmailing Embry and threatening all the people she loves. Oddly satisfying end.

Interesting, albeit not entirely original plot.
I still enjoyed reading it, and I was kept in moderate suspense the whole time. I particularly appreciated the ending.

Las reacciones de los personajes a veces no eran para nada realistas, pero engancha.

I liked this book. Embry was great and strong and I liked Holden. This is the third book by Stokes that I’ve read and I think I’ve caught on to her mystery of surprise and figured out the ending (partly) a little before half way through the book. And I like surprises don’t get me wrong but I felt like it was kinda obvious. I liked how Embry has to come to terms with the problems in her life’s it wasn’t the greatest circumstances but she definitely showed character development.

Holden was sweet and supportive I wish there was more between them but that’s just the romantic in me. They were great together.

It had a great ending by not giving away too much but still left me satisfied.

Wasn't a good mystery, more like a romance novel with some mystery.
Embry and Holden accidentally start a fire in Sea Cliff Inn. To avoid any trouble they leave, Embry notices there was someone who was inside the burning building. She risks her life to save a homeless man, the town calls her a hero. (If only they knew the truth). Embry gets blackmailed into doing things like; steal her best friends purse, confess she's cheating, confess about the accident, take a gun. Embry tries to find out who the blackmailed is.

giving it a 5 stars rating because although i figured out who unknown is, i loved how the author played out the relationship between Embry and Holden and to be honest, i was a sucker for it. (of course extra points for betsy the dog and the entire coastal small town setting, which again, i can eat up in a matter of minutes)
