 - Well, if this isn't one of the weirdest books I've ever read in my life! Drayden has a dozen ideas here that would all be excellent novels and she's crammed them all into one wild ride.
- I've seen some reviews complain about the number of narrators, but I really enjoyed the many points of view. Given how much was going on, it felt like I was seeing many sides of the action.
- One big thing that dragged this down for me was the implication that the disabled character couldn't fully access her joy and artistic talent unless she was actively in pain. I understand how that concept integrated with the overall plot, but it felt icky at times.

Oh man I was so ready to love this book (knowing there's a chance I won't) but I was not ready for how bored I'll be while reading... Ask me what this book is about and I cannot possibly tell you. I have no idea what I read. It was weird. Not in a bad way I think, but idk what pressed me to continue reading... A hope to finally figure out what the hell is happening? Who knows.
Anyway. Biggest "complaint" is probably that this felt very incohesive and sloppily written with lots of holes. Like a ripped doily. Did not spark joy :(
