I really enjoyed this Christmas-y read. I love Talia’s writing style and appreciate the depth she puts into her characters. I read some reviews that this was similar to other books, and while the MCs are a curvy, spectacled smartie and a giant, red-headed artist, their personalities have differences about them I would say they only match another set of characters in likeness! And even then, I didn’t picture them as Chloe and Red (fro m Get a Life, Chloe Brown). The character arc is completely different too and I appreciated Bailey really knowing what she wanted.
Moderate: Child abuse, Physical abuse, and Violence
