‘To Treasure an Heiress’ continues to follow the vivacious Beth Tremayne from ‘The Nature of a Lady’ as she carries on in her search for long-lost treasure on the Isles of Scilly. To her dismay, Lord Sheridan, the man who has her trinket box and refuses to return it, is also looking for said treasure. Reluctantly, she agrees to search together and they may find more than just treasure along the way.

I LOVED this book. This is a book I want to read over and over again until I have all my favorite lines memorized and I can anticipate all my favorite scenes. It was truly one of the most delightful and entertaining reads. With a medium faith thread and lots of symbolism it doesn’t fail to inspire.

Again, Roseanna’s characters shine through her writing. Mamm-wynn is still a delight, and we meet Sheridan’s sisters who are equally hilarious. But OH SHERIDAN! If he had my trinket box I’d just see it as one more reason to marry him and get it back.

Sheridan has the most unique sort of charm. His personality leaps off the page and his quirks are so endearing. I don’t think anyone can NOT love him. Even Beth’s impatience with him is short-lived. ;)

Again, we get to see a side character’s point-of-view, Senara. Even those without points-of-view have distinct personalities and quirks that have the readers asking ‘What’s their story?’. Bram - Lord Telford - for example is always drawing the strays out of the shadows. As luck would have it, Bram will have a point-of-view in ‘Worthy of Legend’ which I’ve just started reading. I can’t wait to embark on the next treasure hunt on the lovely Isles of Scilly. I’m already excited to see what stray Bram decides to rescue next.

Roseanna continues to entertain and inspire me. Take my word for it, you will not regret taking a vacation in the Scillies with her team of interesting characters. Let me know in the comments if you’ve read the books and your thoughts. If you haven’t read it, you can find it online and in bookstores.

I simply cannot wait for the third book in this series! Roseanna M. White did such a stellar job writing this book - hidden pirate treasure, a one-sided love story, good ol British wit and humor, and characters that anyone with a beating heart can't help but fall completely and totally in love with! Sigh. Such a wonderful book. I can't recommend it highly enough!

What a fun installment in "The Secrets of the Isles," series. After reading the first book, I was intrigued to learn that its sequel would feature Beth, who I liked, and Sheridan, who I had found annoying.
I was curious to see if Sheridan would grow on me and if I would like the romance between him and Beth. I am glad to say they did!
Beth and Sheridan, at first, seem an unlikely couple, but they ended up having wonderful chemistry. Sheridan is actually quite funny and sweet, once you get to know him.

Besides all of that, one of the things I enjoyed the most about this book was the faith content. Characters confront their sin and realize how they need to grow in their relationship with God. I especially enjoyed the conversations about faith between Ainsley and Senara.

I'm excited to see how this series continues in the next installment!

Hop into a sloop and sail back to the Isles of Scilly, where the hunt for hidden treasure continues in To Treasure an Heiress! Witty, action-packed, and full of suspense, Roseanna M. White outdoes herself in the second installment of The Secrets of the Isles series!

In 1650, Prince Rupert, the nefarious pirate prince, came to the Isles of Scilly and fell in love with an island girl. According to local folklore, before his departure, Prince Rupert gave his love clues to find the treasure he’d hidden somewhere on the Isles. Three hundred years later, rumor has it that the treasure is still an uncovered mystery, creating a buzz that brings archeologists and rivals to Scilly to fight for their prize! Will there be a victor in this race for historical discovery, or will the danger prove too great?

"The grandest thing we can ever seek is love. Riches will come and go, be found only to be lost again, but family . . . family stands the test of time."~ Roseanne M. White

Beth Tremayne has returned home after her plan to search the Isles for Mucknell and Prince Rupert’s bounty is thwarted by the perilous events that threatened the lives of her loved ones. More determined than ever, Beth reluctantly accepts the help of her family and their guests, Lord Telford and Lord Sheridan, to solve the riddles that have obsessed her mind since she was a little girl listening to her mother’s bedtime stories. However, after an unfortunate introduction and bad first impression, Beth doesn’t trust Lord Sheridan, but is he really the villain she’s painted in her mind or is the real monster lurking in the shadows ready to deceive with his charm before revealing the sinister agenda behind his Cheshire grin?

"I may be bold. Sometimes — foolishly — even fearless. But that’s not bravery. Bravery is seeing the fearsome thing and standing firm when you want to run." ~ Roseanne M. White

To Treasure an Heiress is a fast-paced, addictive read! Ten times better than its predecessor, the story picks up right where The Nature of a Lady ended, in a perfect continuation though told through new protagonists. While Elizabeth and Mabena are still in the narrative, they take a backseat in this novel. I'll admit that I was initially sad that we wouldn’t get more in-depth details about their lives, but it was fun to meet new characters and go on another adventure through the lens of others. I instantly fell in love with Ainsley, Sheridan’s valet, and Senara, the daughter of the Tremayne’s cook and gardener; they were a great addition to this story!

"If God meant me to live in the desert, He wouldn’t have made me an Englishman." ~ Roseanne M. White

Roseanna M. White did a fantastic job bringing history and folklore together to create this exciting read. I loved To Treasure an Heiress and couldn’t stop laughing whenever Sheridan was around. His quirky yet sincere mannerisms were impossible not to like. It was also a treat to watch Beth grow from being a flighty rosefinch whose greatest desire was to fly the nest to opening her heart and allowing others to help her. Nevertheless, to me, the stars of this novel were Sheridan and Ainsley. I loved how their different personalities complemented one another and the way they encouraged and supported Beth and Senara into the best versions of themselves.

"We cannot escape our families. They shape us and define us. We share a fate." ~ Roseanne M. White

To Treasure an Heiress had everything from mystery to romance, but what I enjoyed the most was that this wasn’t just a novel of entertainment, but edification. Adding a spiritual element, the underlying Gospel message of being washed clean and forgiven was impactful, filling my heart with joy and life every time I went to read another chapter. Now, I can’t wait for the final part of this series! I was really impressed with this book and can only pray that Roseanna will hit another home run with Emily’s story!

"Our sins, our bad choices, perhaps they coat us like mud. But the mud cannot take away the value He instilled in us. Mud does not make a pearl any less valuable. If it did, then why would Jesus have deemed us worthy of the sacrifice of His life? But He loves us, as does the Father. Because we are valuable."  ~ Roseanne M. White

Just here to say Lord Sheridan is an absolute doofus and I loved it. Would love it if more male characters were not suavely put together all the time but lovably goofy like him.

Sheridan is officially my favorite ever. 5 stars.
I love that he wrote how he spoke it was so adorable.

I really didn’t understand Senara having her own pov, but the message from her story was beautiful. She just wasn’t necessary in my eyes.

I wasn’t fully sure what to expect going into this book after the last couple from this author weren’t my favorites. But thankfully this one seemed to be more in the direction of her previous works!
We met Beth and Sheridan in the last book but didn’t really get to know them all that well so I didn’t have a lot of preconceived notions about them.
Sheridan was a delight-he had a bit of boyish enthusiasm and charm to him but could also be serious when the situation called for it. The way he was utterly enchanted with Beth from the start was so entertaining and sweet. He was unashamed in his affection and unwavering as well and it could have slipped into obnoxious but he rode the line perfectly and I found it endearing.
Beth was slower to come around to Sheridan but she made her way there and they were adorable together. They both had a similar passion for adventure and discovery and just fit together so perfectly.
This book had a secondary story like the first one did (which was one of my least favorite parts about that one) but it was a lot less in your face so I didn’t mind it as much.
The continued search for pirate treasure didn’t capture me as much as it probably will other readers but it was entertaining at times (occasionally the research bits got a little dry) and overall enjoyable.
The cast of side characters continued over and they’ve slowly won me over to their charming island ways.
All in all this book was a great read and I’m curious about book three!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

A sweet tale of islands and the sea, pirates and buried treasure. It was a pleasant surprise to have the dashing (or was that dastardly?!) hero be the source of comic relief. The heroine was, of course, headstrong and impulsive, with a penchant for sailing and adventure. But throughout the daring (and sometimes dangerous) escapades, there was a refreshing theme of commitment to family and friendship.

I look forward to going back and reading Libby and Oliver's story, now that I realized I read the second book first!

This book had me laughing out loud! 😂 Sheridan was just the best. I really enjoyed the first book and this one surpassed that one. Loving this series.
