I think this book is the one I liked the least out of the seven books. I didn't quite like the characters, especially Jill. I was also sad about Caspian and the ending wasn't really rewarding.
I don't think I'll ever really like this book. I can admire the writing and how beautiful Narnia is but the story bored me to tears. It was supposed to be a good one, too. I think that as the books proceed, I get more and more frustrated by how females are treated in these books. Jill seems almost useless. The prince treats her like a damsel in distress. And let's not forget that the enemy is another female, another witch. Caspian's wife is not named once again even though she was such a good queen.
In general, I had to force myself to finish the book once again. I always forget how much I don't like it xD

Another wonderful foray into the land of Narnia, where we are guessing the meaning of the title until the very last page. Lewis takes us on a quest through Narnia where we are tempted and distracted at every turn.

My mother-in-law thinks I’m the queen of underland, kidnapping the prince and keeping him hostage in my clutches underground. I really don’t know why she thinks that:(
-a queen that lives underground outside of narnia that also turns into a snake
But honestly, as a child who grew up in a cult and homeschooled - this book was everything to me then. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
I did have to take stars off for Clive’s ignorance in using traditional American indigenous housing for his swamp people which rally bothered me. I love Puddleglum but that was just weird. I’ve also been educated in how harmful the mythical trope of dwarves are to the Little People Community and that made me very uncomfortable too. Just a heads up!

2.5 ⭐️ It had me in the beginning, and then it lost me :/
Essa reta final da saga está me quebrando, não estou preparada para o próximo.
Esse livro é bom e a história é legal porém ele é inferior ao quinto
