“I’m on Aslan’s side even if there isn’t any Aslan to lead it.”
Every time I return to Narnia I am more and more reluctant to leave it. How I wish I'd found these books in my childhood. Such a beautiful series.

This book dragged a bit more than some of the others but maybe that’s because I wasn’t super invested in Jill and I ended up feeling even less invested in Eustace or even the prince. I would say it wasn’t a very meaningful installment in the series.
I’ve now read The Silver Chair twice. It was like reading it again for the first time. The only thing I remembered from my first time reading it was that Eustace was a main character. I enjoy The Silver Chair. It was a lot different than the previous three (if read in published order), which was kind of refreshing. There were times that I was frustrated a little bit because I understood what was happening a lot sooner than the characters did. I thought the allegory in this book was more subtle, except at the end when Aslan asks Eustace to pierce his paw with a thorn.
