I was anticipating this to be a favourite of the series and was let down. There was less plot, less tension, less found family feels.
A drunken marriage in Vegas leaves Isiah Rhodes, shortstop for Chicago’s professional baseball team, and Kennedy, the team’s only woman athletic trainer, scrambling to try and keep up the pretence to keep them both on the team.
I liked the added element of Kennedy trying to deal with the blatant sexism from the lead doctor, but I don’t know if it was explored quite as I wanted. Surely others would have clocked onto it a lot sooner and commented?
I liked how Isiah was absolutely smitten for her, but it took me a while to warm to Kennedy.
I know I am a major outlier with my opinion on this instalment as it is most peoples’ favourite.

When I knew this books wasnt going to be Rio's... I was pretty dissapointed... and this book ended up being my favorite of the series so far.
Now I need more about Monty and Reese. Those two deserve their own book, their own story.

I just stood up and applauded. Now i don’t know what Rhodes brother i want…
All in all, i loved them. It had its crazy moments and i loved the women in sports representation!

first time read i cemented this book as my favoruite but re-reading it now, i can say that i love everything, EVERYTHING about them, the trope, their personal history but why did we skip over their romance so much? let isaiah be a golden retriever !!! maybe thats why this time around i enjoyed the right move so much more bc of the details (the ice coffee, the books, the breakfast ritual, the ever-dying plants and so on) while we don't really get to know ken's and isaiah's quirks just their bigger problems. i would have loved more domesticated outlook on their relationship bc isaiah was waiting so damn long for it, i just know he was yearning for waking up together and eating tgh. likeee why am i questioning at the end of the book 'what do they even talk about??' ???
THIS IS STILL A 5 STAR - NO QUESTION, I LOVE THE SCARED OF INTIMACY TROPE
