April's book club pick. A relatively quick read with some interesting thoughts throughout. The writing was definitely on the literary/weird side (the birds were kind of terrifying). Very messy family dynamics. I didn’t really get the poems, and the structure felt fragmented and disconnected at times.

Unpopular opinion maybe - but I still enjoyed the book, despite all the messiness.
