Rating: 3.5/5 I liked it, it was very good 😁
Recommended to: Fans of the trilogy.
2018’s Marvel-A-Thon, PHASE II: Winter soldier, a book where the main character is a villain or an antihero.
2018’s around the year in 52 books challenge: #25, A book with an antagonist / villain point of view.
We see the alternate 1985 whereTrump Biff owns Hill Valley. I enjoyed it a lot, we get to see how crooked and evil alternate Biff was.
I loved the use of a refrigerator as a time machine, that was one of the original ideas for the one in the movie.
The reason I didn’t give it a higher rating was because of the ending, I didn’t like it. But I still recommend it.

Spoiler
Doc sends Biff to 1884, Mad Dog tanner shot him, then all the minions died electrocuted because of the time machine’s fail-safe. I thought I was seeing the movie’s alternate timeline, so I was extremely surprised that it didn’t feature the interaction with the real Marty and the movie’s resolution. I guess this could’ve happened after the Real Marty left, and that this is the ending of that timeline, but I doubt it (in the movie all was coming back to normal, the newspaper fading and changing). I don’t know, I’ve always assumed that reality disappeared. Let’s say I just didn’t liked it.bernab's review

I liked this alternative side story but not as much as the previous stories.
