At first, I was getting “shutter island” vibes and I thought maybe Amy was a patient on the ward and people were going along with her delusion. But I’m so glad it didn’t turn out that way!

I have a bachelors in psychology so I was really pulled in by this plot. For most of the book I felt like Amy in the sense that I wasn’t sure who to trust. Although I’m fairly certain that I would have read the chart for the patient in seclusion right away, mainly because I would want to know why they were in there and needed to be transferred to a different facility.

I think the little girl is based off Jade and oh boy! That story line just came full circle. From Jade killing her mom and drugging Amy to the admission that the little girl had been there all along. No wonder Amy was afraid they would keep her on the ward!

Also “I never listen to her. Expect when….”

And finally….Spider Dan to the rescue!!
