Thriller aspects were great. Finished this book in two sittings with the way it kept me on the edge of my seat - however, the lousy (arguably harmful) depictions of mental health and even addicts were really off putting.  This is the first book I’ve read by this author as she’s been highly recommended to me by many friends. I do hope to find the rest of her works don’t have the same problem. Mental health stigma is still a very real problem, and fictional portrayals contribute to that stigma so much more than we think.

Terrible depictions of mental health; especially from the author who is a practicing medical doctor. Even if it's fiction, all people in this story with mental illnesses were constantly referred to as "crazy" and depicted as violent. Even for the sake of fiction I couldn't get into this one.

Was this a Great Book? Nah. It was okey. Like nothing extraordinary. It was kind of hard to get into but it is fast paced so it was a nice easy read. Easy Peasy to go through

Wow!

I am shook!

The twists and turns in this book are insane! You honestly don’t know who to trust!

The dual timelines work perfectly and disguise the truth so well. You start to feel certain ways towards characters and then everything you thought you knew and predicted gets turned upside down.

The more the story develops the more connected you feel towards Amy and want her to get out alive.

Freida McFadden is definitely a must read author for me now!
