I really enjoyed this one! Towards the end I kind of knew what was gonna happen but it was still a great read!

that ending was SO WELL DONE. if someone had told me to be patient because it’d eventually be worth it… I’d have enjoyed the story a lot more. nonetheless, I still liked it. I was just so irritated up until the point when everything begins to make sense because I wanted answers so bad. but let me tell you, it IS worth your time; you just have to push through the confusion and slight boredom to get to the part when everything starts to come together! it’s literally like a puzzle - it’s tedious at first but once you can start to see the puzzle pieces creating the image it’s so satisfying and motivates you to keep going!!

I can only write a bad review by being direct, so...I didn’t like it. I thought there were places where the writing was inventive. Finn has a way with words and definitely liked playing around with his penchant for metaphor. I was fine with that. I like a good metaphor, and I love descriptive language.

But even though Anna’s background is tragic, I thought the execution was overdramatized. I was also supremely disappointed with the plot twist. I didn’t see it coming, but when the big reveal happened it felt unnatural. And I wanted Anna to be as compelling as Finn tried to make her, but I found her too underwhelming to carry a book as long as this one.

I don’t know, it just wasn’t my bottle of merlot.

A fabulous twisty read! While it was a bit slow at times, once you get to page 309, the twists come so fast! I had no clue until right before it was revealed who the real villain was! Great read!!!
