Enjoyable romance read. Loses a star for the few trans jokes that feel out-of-touch and insensitive.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the plot more than the characters. Warren was my favorite character.

Lovely moving

I decided to wait a few days after finishing this one to decide what I think about it. The first part of the book was two stars for me. While the story became more interesting and I rated it four stars when I finished reading it, I’m just not sure what I think of these characters. While you can’t control your feelings and the characters can feel a tiny bit good about controlling their actions (to a degree), can they really? I don’t really feel like they did as much as they could have done. If Ridge really wanted his relationship with his girlfriend, he would have asked Sydney to move out a lot faster. Part of me feels like it’s a sweet story because his girlfriend was really better off without him and they were better for each other, but the other part of me says they really weren’t very good people like they thought they were.

This was one of the last books I had left to read by Colleen Hoover and I have been saving it. I finally started it when I was on my way home from work and I just finished it now. She makes you feel all of the feels. I cried and laughed and hated all of them while loving them at the same time.

2.5 stars
i can’t really explain it. i haven’t got the words. it’s a feeling that you can´t control-

I had so many high expectations for this book. Unfortunately it fell flat for me. I can't count the number of times I cringed or rolled my eyes (yes really) while I was reading/listening this book. Maybe the fact that I partially listened it on audiobook made it less of a good book for me. The voices of the narrators, especially ridges just made me cringe the whole time. As far as the book for itself, I just didn't like the relationships. The book dragged for ever in the first half, the second half was ok. I didn't get attached to these characters whatsoever. Everyone was so annoying.

SPOILERS AHEAD:

Why was Sidney so supportive of every single thing Ridge did? Why was she letting Hunter speak to her like that? Why was Ridge not honest with his girlfriend? How the F can Ridge love two girls at the same time? Overall, I just didn't like the whole concept of this book. The relationships were unhealthy and cringe-y. The songs were just... don't even get me started. Plus, I really disliked Colleen Hoover's writing style. "I need her to be vulnerable"? "She hits like a girl"? REALLY? Anyway, The only thing I like about this book is the maturity that Sidney and Ridge showed throughout their "relationship".
