I liked this booked. I thought it was different from anything I’ve read— from a deaf person’s perspective. As far as the plot, while I would not condone this in real life, it’s fiction so I put reality to the side and just gave myself room to like the story. I think it was written pretty well and gave a perspective on people and their mistakes and stuff that could happen and have happened to people. (Again, if this was MY reality, things would’ve went a lot different but I read it as a fiction so I wasn’t phased).
Idk I know a lot of people don’t like Hoover but she can write a story. While it wasn’t the best book I’ve read of hers, I really enjoyed it.

I actually really liked this book in the beginning and then it was just annoying. Why are women always crying?? Seriously. Ridge was kind of a tool and I really didn't like him much. I did like how we had a main character that has cystic fibrosis though I wish it went into more detail on what the character goes through as well as focusing on more than just the "romance" aspect of the story. Sydney has a job but it seems like she's never there or in school when she is clearly away at college but classes and work are barely ever mentioned. Romance just isn't my genre.

So tragic but I still loved it! It really gives you an understanding of what it’s like to be in love with two people at once. I found feeling conflicted just as much as ridge as I loved him with Sydney but also wanted him to be loyal to Maggie. I love books like this that make me believe in true love.
