I like the story and characters so far, but I'm not a huge fan of the art style.

Lots of style, not much substance.

I'm a little mixed on how I feel about this one. It was definitely a fun, weird read with an intriguing art style. I kept going back and forth between loving the quirky art and disliking it. Overall, I enjoyed watching the character friendships develop. Sometimes it felt like the world building was a little weak.

Unfamiliar follows a few characters as they try to get rid of the hoard of ghosts in Planchettes new house; Planchette moves to a new town and meets a few new friends on her newest adventure.

This comic is so cute; I loved the art style and all the characters and their companions were so adorable. This is a relatively short comic however the growth and bond of the characters in Planchette’s new circle are completely realistic and very sweet. The style of art is very soft, cutesy and bubbly with the perfect level of dark and creepy laced in, I love the choices in colour palettes as the colours PERFECTLY match the conversations playing out on page.

Another good witch-y read (I guess this is more for Halloween for me than it will be when it's published, but The Nightmare Before Christmas gets to be spooky twice a year too!)

I thought this was a fun take on the idea of witches and magical creatures (like Planchette being a kitchen witch and making food from her spells and potions which looked absolutely delicious). My favorite thing about this though was the way that what each character thought was a personal flaw, someone else thought was their strength and something to look up to.

Thank you to NetGalley for making this available in exchange for an honest review!
