I like the story and characters so far, but I'm not a huge fan of the art style.

Cute little graphic novel apparently based on a web comic. I liked the whimsical magical world setting and the quirky characters. I didn't love the art. The way the eyes are drawn especially distracted me.  But the sweet little story was a nice relaxing way to spend a rainy night. I'll likely read volume two when it comes out.  And keep wishing I could do food spells like Planchett.

Thanks to Andrew's McMeel Publishing and Netgalley for sharing an advance copy with me.

I'm a little mixed on how I feel about this one. It was definitely a fun, weird read with an intriguing art style. I kept going back and forth between loving the quirky art and disliking it. Overall, I enjoyed watching the character friendships develop. Sometimes it felt like the world building was a little weak.
