As someone who grew up in a very legalistic church, I’m not going to lie, I was scared to read this book. I am all about Gods grace. In fact I think I’m too much about his grace, I did forget about His holiness. This book reminded me how that is important, as well, while expressing the balance of the two, grace and holiness.

I read this book during a church small group for women, and we loved it. It opened up conversations and allowed us to realize what areas in our relationship with Christ we need to grow in. I think this is a great book to read if you’re growing your relationship with Christ, but feel stuck on what steps next. It is also great if you have been a long time Christian who is too comfortable in where you’re at. I highly recommend it!

Jess Connolly has a way of sharing truth couched in kindness & humor. Insightful & practical, this book illuminates the topics women of faith need to consider in order to follow God faithfully. Each chapter shares basic principles, personal exeriences from Jess’s life & ends with a related Scripture study. Meaningful, easy-to-understand & timely. Perfect for teens, young believers & new believers. Recommended.

Don't be deceived by the cover! This book goes to some deep, sensitive places. I finished reading it today, but will be chewing on Conolly's content for a long time.

I listened to this one and I don’t always love the audiobook version but this was the best one I’ve listened to yet. She had friends help narrate it and they all did such a good job. It felt like a girlfriend just chatting with me and not scripted.

I expected this one to be a bit like Girl Wash Your Face and was glad it wasn’t (there was some good to that book but it felt too self-help and not enough Jesus). I think I’ve grown tired of the “just pick yourself up and do something amazing” message. Not that it is wrong but, as she talks about in this book, we have to live in grace AND holiness and it’s all about Jesus. I felt encouraged and convicted and like she was right there with me, transparent about where she has fallen short right from the start. A really good read, filled with stories and Scripture, and definitely a good one to try reading with others (she recommends it and she has great questions for discussion).

DANCE in grace, STAND your holy ground, and RUN on mission. This is Jess Connolly's mantra through this book, and it is sticking with me. I love how un-fluffy this book is, especially for such a pretty cover. Jess digs into Scripture in each chapter and continually reminds her readers that as daughters of the King we have the gifts of grace, holiness, and mission. Also, her personal stories make me want to pause more and notice God in the everyday spaces of my life.

I really enjoyed this one. It was simple truths in a fresh way. The author uses story very well and her voice is unique. It made it sound more like you were hearing from a real person that you would want to know in real life. I love how each chapter had a scripture passage and it was already printed on the page. The discussion questions at the end of each chapter were very thought provoking.

Y’all. I finished this book today. I know that I am going to need to read this again in 2018. Powerful. Truth filled. Inspiring.

It was like @jessaconnolly had peered into my soul and knew exactly what I needed to hear. It made me feel a lot of emotions. Challenged me. Encouraged me. Empowered me.

Friend, if you have a chance, please read #dancestandrun

Jess beautifully wrote this book for women like you and me.
