The plot is barely there, characters are barely intriguing and the writing is repetitive as hell. The sex scenes and descriptions of fEmALe DeSiRe are cringeworthy (women are horny af in this one—written by a man, by the way).

Still better than "Mistborn".

Listening to it as an audio book, I found the names hard to tell apart. I liked Adria but found Guidanio a bit bland. I think his female characters in this book are probably some of his best. They had deep complex motivations that were completely decentered from the men in their lives. I just found the story itself didnt really grip me at all. I was not very invested in the characters, even Adria's story which was my favourite didnt really grab me.
