This dude was so clearly a STEM student trying to write an english paper and it like KINDA works until he tries to use “tragedy math” to make women inferior to men and justify slave labor. Other than that, he explains storytelling well and uses great examples from greek mythology/history
I was surprised how easy and straightforward it was to read! Sound structure analysis and advice on story.

This was fine; informative on the old theories of poetry. I didn’t find it groundbreaking but it serves as a good historical base-point for theory surrounding poetry and it’s structure. Language is of course a bit dense because it’s Aristotle but the ideas are clear enough once you get over the old diction.

Don't believe the hype
I'm very surprised that this is held in supposed high regard. A large portion of it is mere opinion, some of which has certainly not travelled well through time. His views on women in particular nearly made me spit out my drink. The rest may make sense, but mainly because it tends to be common sense. I wasn't impressed and it was a struggle to force myself to finish.
