personally I couldn't understand the vendetta that Diana was holding against Shane. Like she was hating him because he slept with like 2.5 girls in her cheer squad and they fell in love and perform badly. How was that his fault when he clearly told the girls it was casual? How is he to blame for their lack of professionalism? 
Plus Diana has this soccer friend Isaac who also slept with the entire cheerleading team but she doesn't hate him. In short I absolutely hated Diana's personality. And honestly the confession came out of nowhere. There was no peoper build-up for it and to be honest it felt like the MMC was still hung up over his ex . That emotional dump was also uncalled for because it didn't contribute to the story other than making the MMC baul his eyes out and leave his hockey team (which he eventually joins back).
