This was 400 pages of not a lot. The plot wasn’t very strong, POV was shifted between characters with not a lot of clarity, and the romance was blah. There wasn’t any closure at the end. I finished it to get it over with.

A fine enough read but so many loose ends that didn’t make it worth it. Also the author repeated herself so much throughout the book. Not steamy, believable, and I didn’t care about the characters. 1.5 stars

I realized 10 pages in I don’t want to read about sad rich people problems.

Just couldn’t get into it. But stressful to read about a mother so unsupported. Also missed the variety of POVs from the other books

DNF so I guess a rating isn't fair. I look forward to Elin Hilderbrand every summer; I'm disheartened that I won't even finish this book. Claire's career as a glassblower is unusual, but the rest is a banal plot of unhappy wife and mother found in dozens of books with subplots that just add busyness.

Hilderbrand's evocative writing always made Nantucket magical or full of opportunities. Even that is missing.
