Super funny and whimsical. I often find myself quoting the famous DONT PANIC sign internally in my head sometimes. I enjoyed some of the thinly veiled metaphors and irony present in the other alien races. It reminds me of a mix of Terry Pratchett’s humour and the episodic stories of Star Trek. A real winner.

A humorous, adventure sci-fi book. I liked it. If I keep in mind when the book was written I would have to say how great it is for it's time! The author had a great vision and a sense of humor. Not everyone will like the humor, but it's there.

this was honestly just an all around fun time. i had such a good time reading (or listening i suppose). i’m not sure how i’ve gone this long without reading it, but i’m soo glad i have now!!! it was such a complex world yet put across so simply and it was so easy to absorb. i loved all the characters and how funny they all were, and how they always seemed to find themselves in terrible situations, and found themselves out of it through random chance, and by none of their own doing. it was honestly so enjoyable!!! i will definitely be listening to the rest of the series. it was so relaxing to listen to, and stephen fry was the perfect narrator ofc. loved the wit of everything, the characters were great. and once again the world building was just fantastic!! watching everything fall into place was wonderful. loved it !!
