What the hell kind of epilogue was that! And Jesus Christ, I've never even seen the fact that this book is written by freaking "M. Pierce". If that's not clever writing, I don't know what is. I'm completely mindfucked.
The last half of the book was spent with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. I was not expecting for this book to be so emotional. It's rare to see characters sink so deep, and I felt it on every page. The only other book I've seen this happen so severely is in Beautiful Disaster, but then the characters are very different and deal with it very differently. Their only common trait is that they are emotional beings. And I know some disliked that book because the way the character reacted was “unhealthy”. But wasn’t that the whole point?
I don’t think I’ve ever come across a more intriguing character than Matt. And I won’t even attempt to explain him to you because I wouldn’t do him justice.
The last half was considerably better than the first half. The first half was mostly fucking and dirty talk, and at times a little too much of it for my taste. I also never quite got the shaming part, but each to their own I guess. The rating is mostly for the second half, though the first was undoubtedly entertaining. I just didn’t start really feeling the characters until halfway when they actually got to know each other a little better instead of just having sex all the time. Which was why I was so surprised by the second half and how emotional it became for me. It was almost like two different books.
I did not read this in one sitting, I read it over several days, with a couple other books in between, and I think it gave me the space to love it when I really got into it. And when I did, it was incredibly hard to put the book down.

Hmmm.
I don't hate this book at all. I actually kinda love it. I love how crazy flawed the main male character is. What I do hate is that the main character is a writer. He's a writer who goes under the pen name M.Pierce. The same person who wrote this book. For some reason that makes me SUPER uncomfortable. I really wish the pen name was not the same as the writers. Seems very tacky.

Hooked me from the first page. I need to catch up on this series!
That was freaking awesome!!! The story is hot the sex is hotter kinkier just plain scorching. M.Pierce that was a huge surprise, wasn't sure going in but right from the start I couldn't put the book down and read it in one sitting, paying for lack of sleep today lol but so totally worth it.
It's a love story that has it's usual ups and downs and some that not everyone has to go through. You feel for Matt the reclusive writer and he is do god damn hot and kinky!!! He has his share of demons which he tries to hide but you can't help but feel something for him. And Hannah I love having a strong female character you see her break down like anybody else would in that situation but she doesn't give up she wakes up and fights for what she wants and that's Matt.
The book dosent have a cliffhanger in a sense it's wrapped up nicely and I loved how it ended and then I read the epilogue and was like WTF?? You can't end the book and then write the epilogue lol but that's what makes this book more intense. It has me longing for the second book in this trilogy and cannot wait for it to come out supposably in January which isn't to far but far enough!!!
Great job M.Pierce you have a fan right here

The best BDSM I've read. The story is well worth the one dollar I paid and I would of been willing to pay so much more for it. The characters are well developed and there was never a time I was uninterested in the story. It flows nicely and had me from the very first page. Can't wait for number 2~!
What I liked… several of the sex scenes were very hot and kinky, with some very naughty dirty talk from the “hero” Matt, aka Night owl. Gotta love dominant, commanding dirty talk in the bedroom. Unfortunately, these very nice moments accounted for only about 10% of the book. Oh well. Also, I hesitate to call Matt a hero. He’s more like the WIMPIEST leading man I’ve ever read about in a book. Where to start… he has a pet bunny, he’s in therapy, he has serious anger management problems, in other words he’s a total jerk to “heroine” Hannah (ugh, TSTL), and, to top it all off, he cries easily. That said, once he gets in bed (i use bed figuratively, it's more often a tabletop, car, a wall... etc.) he’s not so bad (quite naughty in a good way)… but again, that’s only a small part of the book. The rest - the plot & dialogue is absolutely cringeworthy. Don’t even get me going on Hannah… she is a disgrace… I returned this for a refund.
Oh. Wow.
This was so deliciously wicked that I need more. Now!!
One of my favorites of the year ;)

I kept seeing this series in blogs and Amazon kept recommending it. I gave it a chance and I'm so upset that I hadn't read it sooner!
This book is great! The main characters lives were different yet the same. To even attempt writing complicated characters is not easy and usually not enjoyable to understand. But M. Pierce did it perfectly.
I don't give 5 Star ratings that often. M.Pierce, you've earned it!
