So fucking good. Ahh I loved it so much. Uh Matt was so hot and writer (dream) and I love him. Hannah was also a great character. I loved them together. I sometimes mind when a character cheats but not really in this book only because we truly never meet the character that got cheated on.
"Our story?"
"It's a love story, Hannah"
"How does it end?"
"It never ends"
Melts and swoons. Yes Matt yes. Can't wait to read the next book once I get my hands on it.

Absolutely loved this book. So different.
I kept seeing this book posted around, so for $.99, I figured, why not. Really, the author needs to charge more. Such a great book.
I loved both of the characters. Hannah was not the typical whiney, wishy washy heroine. She was real. Sure, she had doubts about herself, but it's the normal doubts I think most women have. I honestly think she did the right thing when the sh!t hit the fan. I like that she didn't bow down right away.
Matt was such a complex character. On the one hand, he was confident, arrogant, cocky. On the other hand, he was neurotic, paranoid, and anxiety ridden. And broken. I loved how much of a douchebag he was. I loved wondering how he was going to become redeemable.
The plot was great, and believable. I think the pacing was wonderful. The writing was unbelievably good. It was written from both MC POV. At some points, I was wondering if it was indeed written by a man and a woman. Both POVs were so different, yet flowed wonderfully.
Excellent book, I highly recommend it.

I held off reading this series until I had all the books because I will forget characters if I space them out to much. and I decided to finally have a go with it. the book blurb sounded great and it didn't disappoint that's for sure. one thing I really loved with this book was the fact that the chapters rotated between Matt and Hannah. I love hearing the males side of things in books like these. it also adds more complexity. this book was steamy deceptive and down right heart pounding. I loved it!
OMG!!! There were so many funny scenes in this book that had me laughing hysterically! I love it when a book can do that. LOVE the main characters Hannah and Matt and their witty, sexy, banter is so entertaining. Don't even get me started on the sex - omg so lusty!!!
Can't wait to read the sequel.
Can't wait to read the sequel.
10 Stars!! This was the funniest, dirtiest, sexiest, craziest book I've ever read. What the heck just happened! I loved it! Matt is the best alpha male - a dirty talking, sexy, intelligent mass of complexities. Hannah, his muse - a strong quirky heroine. them together - combustible!! Words cannot capture how much I loved this book. And that epilogue.... what the heck was that! Okay, when is the next book coming out????? I need it NOW! Read. This. Book!!!!!
Ok so this book was suggested to me from my sister and she just talked about how wonderful it was. I read reviews and thought WOW this book is going to be awesome. The first 3 chapters I was hooked. I really like this but after that I got bored w/the characters and the story. There was nothing that I haven't read already and it was a little too not believable for me. It was not horrible but I just didn't connect to the characters like I usually do.
95% out of 100%
Amazing read! at 1st I thought it was a little bit too graphic (which it is btw) but then we got to know the characters in depth and I actually felt their struggle and agony towards the end of the book. I was going to give it 4.5 stars, but then I read that epilogue and woah!!! 2nd book here I come!!

It's been two years since I read this book and I just won Last Night so I need a refresher on the first book.
Yes I know...why did I wait so long to finish up this series. I think when i read the first one the 2nd wasn't out and then I just got to reading so many others that were on my tbr I never got back to it. But I am now.
So I just finished my reread of Night Owl. I remember that when I first read this 2 years ago I was a bit taken aback by the humiliation portion of the sex between Hannah and Matt. Ha what a difference 2 years makes and having read hundreds of books. Apparently in terms of that particular thing I think I have read so many more books that hit dark places or have way worse degradation that this time it didn't even phase me and in fact seemed far less than other books I have read. I'm not sure what that says about me lol. I will say I am still not a huge fan of humiliation or degradation in sex but like I said so minor in comparison to others I have read in the last two years.
So having said all that....let's move on. This story oh my goodness. You know when you read tons and tons of books there are all sort of styles of writing and depths to the writing. This book really was just so well written and if you can even wrap your head around the fact that M. Pierce is writing Night Owl but the author is writing about characters that are authors so those characters are writing stories, so this author is writing stories within stories...it's crazy how much had to be put into this book when you really think about it. It's so very interesting.
So the characters...Hannah and Matt. Hannah you are truly the most understanding and caring character because I am not sure how much I would have felt like helping someone who hurt me so much and she did that without question. I mean she never asked Matt why he did what he did. That being said I wondered why she didn't and maybe it bothered me some that it was never addressed. But hey I guess for Hannah, after a bit of healing she loved him enough for it to not matter. And Matt...rough, abrasive, rude, hot, dominating, dirty talking....I at times didn't know whether to hate him or love him or love hating him or hate loving him, but I think I couldn't help but love him and feel so much pain for him. I think that my be the difference in my reread. I read him so much more sympathetically than I did the first time. I could really see his love and even his obsession for Hannah. But I also could see his deep emotional issues that he struggled with. I think first read I read him as just more of an asshole.
So yeah this review what just my observations. I didn't give you a run down on the story itself. Tons of reviews have that. I just needed to get my thoughts down before I moved on to book 2.

This was a horrible book.
I liked the beginning ok, even though Matt was a jerk from the beginning. I tried to look past his shortcomings, thought it was just a front since he was so secretive. Was I ever wrong. When the "truth" finally came out, he showed his true self, a huge asshole.
These books give BDSM a bad name, and if they don't, they should. It's not BDSM, it's an asshole doing what he wants to do with no consideration for her. Will NOT read another book by this author or in this series.
