A great book about a family's hopeful move to a thrice-spooky luxury apartment building to pass the time of a long and exhausting move back to your mom's. Some really interesting haunting themes and how quickly the building itself and its not so living inhabitants effect their small community of living victims.

A very eerie story. 
The parents of the Kano family are a complicated pair, but very realistic people, I think. I understand their reasonings behind certain thoughts and actions. 
A definite re-read.
