This book is amazing the stories are fun. I got the more from the library with 7 stories so I am currently waiting for the one with 17 then I will have a more firm opinion.

Weirdly Akutagawa wiki site doesn't say he committed suicide.

These are highly entertaining and very short stories. If you are looking for something that's a quick, on-day read, you should like these.

I'm not much of a fan of short stories, but I really enjoyed most of these.

This is less a short story collection and more a series of fables. They were all very quick to read and enjoyable in the moment but will probably not stick with me. If you really like fables or dark fairy tales or Japanese literature then give it a go; otherwise, it’s a pass for me.
