Thank you to Orion, Seth and Caleb for being the men that you are

This book didn’t need to be over 800 pages. Also the writing is uhhh not very good.

”But this love between him and me, this powerful force of nature which rattled the stars and awoke destiny from its slumber would have left its scar on the world. This earth would not forget us, this kingdom would never forget us and beyond it all, our memory would linger just as our souls would forever remain united. No matter which side of death we landed on in the end.”

and it’s finally over
instead of just reviewing this specific book, i’m gonna review the series as a whole.
hmmm okay i’m just gonna say it… the sole reason i stuck with this long ass series was for tory and darius. if their slow burn was written in order to make me suffer through all 9 of these books, then i absolutely fell for that shit. i fell in love with these two UGH. one of the most rewarding slow burns that i’ve read (since most series that i read aren’t 9 BOOKS LONG). don’t get me wrong, i love bluelance, but tory and darius were THE couple in this series for me.
to me, this series felt like a reality tv show but fantasy edition.
it was easy to follow, ridiculous, and fun—BAM reality tv. so even if the writing wasn’t the best and there were so many moments that felt pointless, i absolutely loved this series.
was the ending completely satisfactory? mmmm for the most part. there were a few pacing and timing issues, unnecessary additions/plot-lines, etc. in particular with this book, there were moments where important information would be revealed so randomly and abruptly with no build up. but it would be at the last-minute and conveniently timed. hm annoying but i guess most fantasy series i’ve read are like that so whatever. but all in all, i thought it was a pretty solid finale book to this ridiculous, messy, and twisted series.
UGH i’m actually so sad that it’s over. i fell in love with these characters and most of their plot-lines. despite having to read the most gut-wrenching, insane, heart-breaking, and fucked up shit…it was so addictive and it was a fun ride.
I’M FINALLY FREE BUT ALSO SAD… so it’s finally over, but at what cost

I DID IT!!!!! IT only took like a fucking month and a half of only reading/listening to this series, BUT I AM VICTORIOUS!! Go me!!
In all seriousness this was probs my favorite book in the series. Did it need to be 1100 pages? Probably not. Did I enjoy most of them? Ya I did. I’m sooo happy everyone got their lil HEA. I liked how the sissies jumped ahead for everyone and we got to see their lives after the demise of LAME LIONEL!!!! Seth and Caleb are still my favorite couple and I am obsessed with them. Someone point me in the direction of some good fanfics bc I am lacking in those, there’s like 5 on AO3 and I’ve already read them all… hehe

I’m obviously the biggest fan of this series. But there was no need to drag it out THIS MUCH. 9 books each 500-1k pages??? Erm
Where do I even start....
My heart has been broken, stitched back together and then ripped out again.
I don't think there is any book/series out there (or just generally life experiences) that can make me feel how this series has. I will deeply miss these characters.
On the other hand, I am so glad it is finally over. Flipping hell, it was a lot, and I reread books 1-7 as well. It is a true commitment finishing these books but I highly recommend people give it a go. You will be absolutely hooked. I read some of these books in 1/2 days, and they are huge- they are completely addicting.
Please read- highly recommend.
