I can’t believe I’m actually done with this series, holy shit.

Firstly, I wanted to clarify that I rated it 5 stars because this book was marginally more interesting than the last 2 or 3. It was full of action and plot happening, the ending was lovely and sweet and I was so attached to the characters that I’ll be thinking of them always.

I do want to point out the utter pointlessness of Clydinius though. He appeared, he burned down a concentration camp, tried to recruit other stars and then died without having done much else. He was supposed to be the big bad, responsible for every terrible thing that befell the Vegas family for hundreds or thousands of years, but his entire existence was so anticlimactic. We could have done this entire thing without him and nobody would have noticed.

I do appreciate the final battle being so fucking long though. It was a great end, everyone got their hea and I’m satisfied with the conclusion of this series. I even felt bad for Lionel in the end. Despite how bad he was, hearing someone describe themselves as powerless, afraid and alone is a surefire way to tug on my heartstrings. This is why I keep falling for abusive men lmao.

Anyway, great series. Overall, 4 stars. A lot of filler, but it led the way to some delicious characters building. And of course Orion bumps the numbers up. Without him it would be 3 stars. As much as I love Darius, Lancey has my entire heart

What the actual fuck was the point of pneumoThorax? So disappointing.
