The series is over! Finally??? I have a lot of mixed feelings here.
This book draaaaaaaaaaagged. There are about 300 pages in the middle that I don’t remember and I just don’t care about. Perhaps they were wrapping things up? Who knows it’s a blur.
The star stuff was unnecessary and just added to the length with no development to the plot and was anticlimactic. We already know the twins hold insane power so it didn’t demonstrate anything new? Idk I didn’t care
Seth and Caleb FINALLY figured out there shit and it ended really sweet. Though I would have picked something slightly different for the ending for them? I don’t want to say what without major spoilers.
Orion really carried a lot of the book in my opinion. Things HAPPENED in his chapters that felt like the overall story was moving along where it didn’t in other POV.
The multi pov was a bit repetitive. I read the phrase “this could be our last night” at least 15 times from 15 different characters and it got annoying.
The ending made up for it, though almost 200 pages of a battle was a bit excessive. I did love the wrap up chapters at the end with the look into the future and how their lives continue. It was actually really sweet and I think brought some really good closure.
Overall I feel accomplished finishing the behemoth of a series.
I haven’t read the Rosalie books but I’m probably going to eventually.

i maintain that no book needs to be this long and this could do with some major chopping down and probably way less different perspectives but in terms of being the last book in such a long series, this is how you do a satisfying and genuinely good conclusion. this was so action heavy which i think helped because the action scenes are the best part in my opinion.
overall i'm glad i've read this series but i wouldnt say its as good as people make out personally. it was a silly fun time with emotional damage but nothing groundbreaking
