OMG I cannot believe that I finished it....how will I spend my free time now? As you can understand I just loved these books! For me, I knew that I would like from the very first line. I just knew it! If you like romantasy and dark romance then this is definitely for you. Will miss all of you guys....

I get it, but this book is SOOOOOOOO long. It wasn't easy to finish it.
Overall, the series is pretty amazing, beautiful world, characters, relationships - I really like the building of relationships and lore. The last few books drag a little and some resolutions are not thoroughly explained (runes, for example).
I really enjoyed how much of a coward Lionel was at the end, running away and trying to escape. The battle was brutal and the authors translate the emotional turmoil so well.
I will miss Tory and Darcy, their mates, family and friends, but their story is finished and I am glad I read it all (mostly)

The story building, the characters, and action !!! I love a good war fantasy novel . Fav series I've read in a while.

I thought this wrapped up pretty nicely all things considered. The Stars didn't hurt Tory and DArius too badly for breaking the rules although maybe all those sets of twins and triplets were the punishment lol . I love seeing our Ruthless Boys again <3 I'm so curious about Tharix. After all the torture we pretty much have our HEA for the people we like. I'm so glad Geraldine and Max made it!
* I am writing the reviews for all the ZA books and spin offs individually after reading the whole series and that is probably for the best because I had a hard time getting through the first three books. They are not kidding that it begins as a BULLY ROMANCE and I wanted to stomp the faces of all the bullies. I felt like I was torturing myself. If you can get through those 3 books then the story really gets cooking. It will still hurt your heart and inflict serious emotional damage so if that is not what you’re looking for I would scoot on to another story. I followed the “emotional damage without spoilers reading order” ZA 1-3, Ruthless Boys 1-5, ZA 4-9 and yes you should tandem read 8 and 8.5, the Darkmore Penitentiary 1-4. I did read all the novellas before Darkmore as well and recommend them as they are quick little fun nuggets of information. I will probably add this disclaimer to all my reviews of ZA series because it is only fair to see I basically “read ahead”. If you can make it through it is a series worthy of your time based on its’ entertainment value.
