I was initially excited to get to the conclusion of this series after multiple books of seemingly worst case scenarios for favorite characters.
And yet — this was a really hard read to stay invested in. Yes, it’s nice to rotate POVs especially during large battles, but some scenes were too drawn out. After a while i found myself wondering “when will this be finished?” Not what you want in the epic conclusion.
Do you remember the ending of LOTR? How it stretched forever after the final battle. Echoes of that here too.
But if you were worried about a happy ending for your characters and justice being served to the villains, you should be satisfied.

Man, for how many emotions this series has made me feel and for how long it’s taken me to get through it, I’m actually quite sad it’s over. I’ve fallen in love with this world and these characters and I don’t want it to end.
I love that the authors put in many epilogues so you can feel like you get a good resolution especially after all they’ve been through. I’m happy that they all got their happy ending. It was pretty rough there for a second.
