Wow - my first approved book on Edelweiss and it was a cracker! Pretty Revenge is the first book by Emily Liebert that I have read and I loved it. I will certainly be looking out for more from this writer. This book was twisty, funny and read like a soap opera at times! I was intrigued to find out what Kerrie wanted revenge for and you don't find out until close to the end. This book kept me interested all the way, but I was a little disappointed with the ending. I was hoping for something a bit more dramatic. But overall I really enjoyed this book and read it very quickly.

Kerrie has just lost her job, doesn't really have a lot invested in her relationship and is heading nowhere. Until one day she sees the woman that she holds responsible for ruining her life as a child on TV and comes up with a plan for revenge. She re-invents herself completely, changes for her name and gets a job working for that woman - known as Jordana now. Jordana is a New Yorker with it all - she is rich, gorgeous husband and a thriving business in wedding planning. Bit by bit Kerrie sets out to sabotage her new boss and get her revenge.

Thanks to Edelweiss and Gallery Books for my advanced copy of this book to read. All opinions are my own and are in no way biased.

This was my first Emily Liebert and I loved it! This was such a fast paced read! I was shocked when I put the book down and I was already half way through it! This definitely wasn’t a mystery, you know the main character is was out for revenge she gives you bits and pieces of information on how she ruined her life . Kerri O’ Malley is in a slump she was just laid off, her relationship with her boyfriend / roommate isn’t going anywhere. While sitting on her couch depressed watching tv she spots her the woman who ruined her life Jordana Pierson, she’s being interviewed about her new wedding business. Completely surprised to see Jordanas face on her television and hearing she needs an assistant, Kerri starts planning her revenge she wants Jordana to know just how her actions affected her life. Jordana is married to an extremely wealthy man and they look like they have the perfect life. She’s well aware what she did to Kerri was horrible but she reasons it by saying she did it to leave her old life behind and make something for herself. Soon Kerri gets a makeover sends Jordana her resume ,changes her name to Olivia and soon finds herself working for her enemy. However Jordana has know idea who she hired sometimes you need to be careful who you let into your life! I really enjoyed this book! I give it four stars and I had to know what Kerri had planned! I loved how casual she was when meeting Jordana and how Jordana had no idea! The book bounces back and forth between Kerri and Jordana. You learn more about each character in each chapter the more you read! Highly recommend adding this to your beach bag!

Imagine holding onto to anger for almost twenty years & finally being able to address it. But with this, severely underwhelmed. The build up only led to a let down.

Pretty Revenge switches between two main characters, Kerrie and Jordan. The women met once before, for less than twenty-four hours almost 18 years ago. Jordan took something from Kerrie, something she could never get back. Kerrie is seeking revenge. However, when the two woman finally meet after 18 years, Jordan doesn’t recognize Kerrie. She doesn’t quite look the same, and her name isn’t Kerrie anymore. Will Kerrie be able to get her pretty, sweet revenge on Jordan or will her plan fall through?

I don’t know what genre to classify Pretty Revenge, it is a thriller with a more feminine side. There is no brutal murder as there is in most thrillers, it’s more of a psychological revenge that our main character seeks.

In my opinion, if Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin had an affair with The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda – this book would be the love child!

I absolutely loved this more feminine thriller. Liebert did a magnificent job of creating two main characters (who each had two personalities). This book was a page turner, and a marvelous beach read. While not too gory and scary like most thrillers I read, Pretty Revenge was a little more delicate but sharp. I’m giving this one a 4.5 out of 5 star rating!

Revenge can be sweet. Pretty even. Pretty Revenge was definitely a 5 star read for me. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the thriller I thought it may be, but it did suck me in regardless. I finished it in a day and I’m telling you, this is a great summer read. Pick it up now.

Kerrie was royally screwed by Jordan 18 years ago. I mean, really, REALLY screwed over. Jordan, now Jordana, is living the high life in the Big Apple when Kerrie sees her on the news being interviewed for her successful new business. Kerrie decides then to take her birth name of Olivia, change her look a bit, and then puts together a plan of revenge that is nothing if not admirable. Jordana, meet that new assistant you said you needed.

While not thrilling in the thriller sense, Pretty Revenge is about a girl wanting whats owed and seeing whether the other will get her just desserts. It’s salacious and intriguing. And yes, thrilling. It’s like Liebert made you a fly on the wall of NYC’s rich, famous, and ridiculous. Kerrie/Olivia knows who Jordana really is and will stop at nothing to expose her. I simply couldn’t stop reading. And in all honesty, despite quite valid reasons, I wasn’t quite sure who I wanted to win. This book felt like a guilty pleasure and I enjoyed every word.

I received an advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I love everything that has to do with rich people in NYC. Books, reality tv, you name it - if it is has juicy gossip involving the wealthy in Manhattan, I’m obsessed.

This book is set in NYC and is the story of Jordana and Kerrie. Jordana did something to ruin Kerrie’s life and Kerrie wants revenge. She changes who she is in order to infiltrate Jordana’s new life as the assistant to Jordana’s fancy wedding planning business.

If you are looking for a binge-worthy book that’s full of scandal, this is the book for you.

Who doesn’t love a juicy revenge story? Personally, I find it a bit exhausting to hold onto lifetime grudges but I sure don’t mind watching them play out in a book or movie. So, settle in and enjoy the ride.

Kerrie has been wronged and she is determined to set things right at no matter the cost. Its been 18 years since Jordan ruined her life and when she sees her on tv it gives her the motivation to leave her life behind and move to NYC. Told in alternating POVs we quickly see how playing “the game” is what these women do best.

I really enjoyed the women in this story. They were snarky, devious and ambitious. “I wasn’t a side dish. I was the main f*$#ing course. And I knew it.” I chuckled to myself on numerous occasions and think readers will find this a fun and entertaining read. 3.75 stars.

From looking at the cover, I expected something else. A thriller maybe?!?! It turned out to be an interesting story that read more like chick-lit. I didn’t care much for the main characters even after finding out the reason for the revenge. Also, hated the ending. An easy read and semi-enjoyable but that’s about it.
