Could Kerrie be any more annoying? She plotted this whole revenge plan based off of a mistake Jordana made?! Jordana did not purposefully leave Kerrie's gas on and she didn't murder Kerrie's grandmother. Such an absurd thing to seek revenge for. Even Jordana taking the jewelry and money was enough to warrant Kerrie moving to NYC, changing her name and appearance, and concocting this crazy plan. I couldn't feel any sympathy for her and felt terrible for Jordana. Also, Kerrie having a shot with William was so unbelievable especially once she revealed all of her lies and plans. Kerrie was willing to bring down a bunch of other people who didn't do anything to her just to get back at Jordana. I am glad that Jordana was able to have a relationship with her mom and find peace. Decent book but Kerrie made it hard to get through.
This was a completely random book that I chose to read, solely because the cover interested me and I went into it completely blind. It was a good pick and I was gripped throughout, finishing the whole book within a day. It had a compelling story that had a good premise and actually followed through to have a good ending. The characters were developed really strongly, especially that of Olivia, as she was definitely my favourite character. The story kept building and you got a really good and satisfying ending.

I didn’t expect much from this book, just figured it would be a fun read, and it was. A little bit too predictable, but that’s not always a bad thing.

Excellent story.
I felt like I really knew the key people in the book. The who's and why's.
The main character was brilliant, and she showed temperature doesn't matter at all when revenge is served.

I really wanted to like this book more based on the premise. A book all about hidden identity and great revenge has to be great, right? In all honesty this was lackluster. The offending event was a teenage mistake, and Olivia's revenge seemed so dull. Nothing actually happens. All thst plotting for nothing.
I also hated that the author made such a huge scene around Olivia being SHOCKED that Tatiana didn't want children with William. As someone who chose not to have children, it's so frustrating seeing authors write women as "unbelievable for not wanting children with this gorgeous man."

Closer to 2.5 stars. 2 women with scarred childhoods working at a high end wedding shop. Meh a quick listen
Kerrie. Olivia. Jordan. Jordana. Who is who? And what’s going on?
Kerrie moves to Manhattan. She leaves behind a life and a boyfriend that wasn’t helping her get to where she wanted to be...but more than this she moves to Manhattan to get revenge on a person who wronged her 18 years ago. She makes a plan with her new friend Sara to disrupt a woman’s life in the worst possible way and to get her oh so deserved revenge.
Jordana is living the charmed life that she has worked tirelessly for. She has everything: money, a reputation, a wealthy husband, and almost anything she wants. But what did she have to do to get it? And what does she keep doing to maintain it?
I have mixed feelings. I don’t think it’s a thriller or really even a mystery BUT it is a good story if you don’t think too hard when reading it. The entire time I was reading I kept thinking where is the thrill? When will things be revealed? And with that expectation I was a bit disappointed. There wasn’t a real ‘omg’ at the end. But I really feel the author did a great job of keeping my interest the entire time. I wasn’t able to put it down because I kept wanting to know more about the characters. It did feel a little unfinished and I wanted to see the different relationships at the end develop so I thought the ending was a bit flat in that aspect. I also wanted to know more regarding the fallout, but it did have sort of a good happy ending!
I would recommend if you’re looking for a quick read that piques your interest throughout!

Pretty Revenge by Emily Liebert is a fast-paced novel full of revenge. Kerrie O'Malley's life was altered in a single moment; she was wronged as a young girl by an older teenage girl who she had looked up to and all she has wanted for eighteen years is revenge on that girl. Kerrie gets her opportunity for revenge when she sees the woman who ruined her life on television. This woman has become a prominent wedding planner and needs an assistant. Kerrie assumes another identity and applies to the position; when she gets the job, she puts her plan of revenge into action. Jordana seems to have it all with a successful wedding planning business, an incredibly wealthy husband and an apartment most New Yorkers would die for but under the surface, the dark shadows of her past are lurking. Only Kerrie thinks she knows the true Jordana and she is going to make her pay.
Pretty Revenge is the perfect summer read. It reads very quickly and is fun with a slightly soapy edge. It is pretty to the point so if you're expecting lots of twists and turns, you won't find them in Pretty Revenge. I also wouldn't say that this is a thriller but a female-driven revenge novel. I liked that Emily Liebert moved between the perspectives of Kerrie and Jordana; Kerrie's voice was particularly strong and I loved her revenge plan.
There are definitely mixed reviews on this one, which I understand, but if you read it with the expectation that it's a light, quick read, you might enjoy it like I did.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
