Every Waking Hour is the fourth installment in the Ellery Hathaway series. I received this book from the publisher never having read any of the previous 3 books to this series. With that being said, background to Ellery and Reed where a bit confusing. As I first started off the book, I found it confusing since I am not familiar with the authors writing style, I did not realize that every chapter switches between Ellery’s POV and Reeds. While I did find the novel fast paced, I didn’t feel as though this book stood out to me. The story unraveling itself was a bit to timid for myself as far as mysteries go. I did thoroughly enjoy the couple of plot twists toward the end and thought that author did a brilliant job at that.
