A very enjoyable read for the most part, Ferrante is a beautiful and vivid writer, but the ending did not feel like a proper conclusion. The protagonist’s actions did not make sense to me in a way that was dissatisfying.

I’m so mad that I wasted almost a week of my life reading this. Started out as a 4. Slowly eased its way down the scale and eventually landed on a 1. The ending was terrible and I don’t understand why people write these type of books. It’s disappointing especially for a woman to think of something like this and say “this is a great idea!”. No, I hate that this was my first Ferrante read.
