Apollo is a glorious douchebag who earns his stripes and gains some humanity. You'll enjoy it, I promise. Don't be put off by how obnoxious he is. It works out in the end, and you'll be glad you stuck with it. Also for the LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY don't listen to the audiobook. The reader is TERRIBLE.

I'm glad I switched to the audio book because while I really want to finish the camp half blood chronicles, I wouldn't have gotten through this book otherwise. It's mostly okay, but just okay. It's always nice catching up with old friends and Meg is a shining light, but while Apollo starts off fresh and funny, the novelty and humor in his voice wears thin pretty quickly, and the overall pacing felt... weird and frequently slow. Also, the stakes just don't feel as high for this book as they did in previous series'. I doubt I'll revisit in the future, but I'll continue on for completionist's sake, in audio book form only.

Me faltó un poquito más de aventura, pero estoy emocionadisima por leer lo que viene

Rick you've done it again.
I'm having a hard time telling weather you knew from the beginning that you would write this much depth into your world of Percy Jackson or if you took your previous plot holes and filled them with even more story. Either way, I have mad respect for you and the work you keep putting out.
I've been reading the Percy Jackson books ever since they first came out and you've kept me in them for so many years.

AMAZING third series opener! I love that this book gets back to having a single protagonist, and what a protagonist he is! Apollo has lost his godhood, but kept all of his arrogance, and it is delightful to watch the action through his eyes. He brings a fresh, new perspective to our favorite places and characters.

My only complaint is I really wish he wouldn't focus on having "flab" so much, the fatphobia is disappointing.

Other then that, though, this book is perfection!
