Not sure about this one 🤔
There’s a lot about death and grief. Quite depressing really.
Some nice language and writing and that the reason it got 2 stars from me.
Maybe it wasn’t the right time for me to read this. I might come back to it again in the future.

Grief and mental illness coalesce with nature into a green swampy mess of beautiful and haunting imagery. A slimy, sapphic tale of artistic suffering.

Green Fuse Burning begins with an introduction to Rita via her artwork. Framed as a gallery show, readers are provided the results of Rita's hauntings before ever being given the context behind them. The hauntings themselves are fevered, atmospheric, and rooted in Rita's real world grief.

Green Fuse Burning is a short and creepy novella that could easily be digested in one sitting. Fellow fans of atmospheric horror will absolutely devour this one!
