Sinceramente?

As someone that loves their father but knows he has his faults, this book hit me straight in the heart. January’s relationship with her parents was so touching. Seeing her grow through the grief of losing her father definitely tugged on my heart strings. I imagine myself also falling a part and not knowing how to function after the loss of one of my parents. I also love how her relationship with Gus evolves over the book. This is a heart tugging, beautiful love story amidst two people who are grieving different loses. As a divorcee I also understand how Gus feels and could really relate to what he was going through. I’m glad he was able to experience real love, it’s even more special after having an empty marriage (I speak from first hand experience). “When I watch you sleep, I feel overwhelmed that you exist,” made my heart ache. This book will definitely make you feel in all of the best ways.

I must admit, I’m a bit of a cynic when it comes to fluffy romance and romcom-style books. However, Beach Read by Emily Henry was incredibly witty and engaging. The banter between the characters was top-notch and started very early on, drawing me into the story effortlessly.

Early in the book, I felt the icicles falling off my cynical heart. Henry’s writing is sharp and humorous, making the characters’ interactions feel genuine and delightful.

Beach Read is truly the pinnacle of a summer read and a great, great book.

4.5 Stars! Loved this read!! Emily Henry's writing is so fun, beautiful, and quirky! She did not disappoint with this! I loved the story between January and Gus - next door neighbor enemies turn romantic interests. Henry writes January so that she is so relatable, it's fun to continue to be seeing the story through her eyes. And Gus is so dreamy

Eu gostei imensoo! Adoreii, recomendo obviamente a leitura!

I loved this book. I loved January, and all the real life stuff. I would definitely not read a Gus Everett book, his version of a happy ending is my nightmare
