Politically a huge mess.
Some interesting ideas that play out MUCH better in its sequel.
White Knight wants to be special and say something meaningful, but this first volume meanders and doesn't have much anything of value to say.
A strong start, a really bizarre middle, and an even messier ending.
The start to the Murphyverse turned a lot of heads because it dared to be different during a period in DC where they getting super stale.
From 2017 - 2020, White Knight really compares as much stronger material.
It's no mystery why the DC / WB bloodbaths have occurred, when this has been their golden staple for almost 3 years now.
Some interesting ideas that play out MUCH better in its sequel.

Loved the story, as someone who is not a comic book follower, I appreciated that the story was really easy to dive into and didn't require extensive background knowledge on my part.

Batman: White Knight is a love story and no one can convince me otherwise.
It dealt with different kinds of love: the familial love, the romantic love, the toxic kind of love, the love for the community, the love for justice.
I love Batman, but I don’t think I’ve read enough to confidently say that this was the first one that pointed out the flaws in Batman’s way of protecting Gotham.
Yes, Batman does help put away the super criminals. He keeps them in check. The big question is, who keeps him in check? That was one of the biggest question in this volume and I really liked how it unfolded.
Was it too quickly? Yes. I don’t think a couple of hours in jail could change someone’s perception on things. I would have loved to see him struggle more before he comes to the conclusion of his wrong doings too.
I want to briefly talk about Harley and Joker.
Their relationship has never been the most natural one. I think this is the most natural their relationship has ever been and I loved seeing it.
I’m not going into spoiler territory here but I did like the things that Harley did and ended up doing in the end.
I kind of had an idea what was going on early on and I was glad my guess was right.
Team Harley all the way!
