I fell in love with the narrator of this beautiful novel on the very first page. Swiv's voice is assertive, clear and full of heartbreak and promise. This story had me laughing out loud and it had me in tears. It was a quick read and I enjoyed every minute of it. Now, to go and read everything Miriam Toews has ever written!

One of the funniest and heartfelt books I have ever read, all of the characters are so multilayered and real. I read the book weeks ago and the dialogue of grandma elvira still sticks with me, as does the relationship between the three protagonists. One I will definitely read again

i loved the story of these three women. they had my whole heart. unfortunately, the writing style was not for me so it was a little hard to go through the whole book
