Great ending to this trilogy! I love how there are so many strong female characters who can show the many different ways someone can be strong.

This book beautifully captures the fury and fire that we call love. love was so complex: it was a rattling truth, selfish, ravenous, sacrificing, bliss, endurance, suffering, betrayal, path to thrilling anguish. Such deeply flawed, flamboyant and complex characters and a mix of stormy emotions that just kept me on edge of my seat . What a beautiful end to the series, I will miss it so much.

A slow build-up to a fast-paced emotional climax.
Still, a satisfying conclusion to The Burning Kingdoms trilogy.

I had a hard time with this book. Actually, I had a hard time with book 2 and 3. The Jasmine Throne was so promising to me, I enjoyed the world and the characters. How different things were than. Classic fantasy. Somewhere along the way I just didn't care about anyone or anything. Book 2 was just action heavy with little depth and book 3 was so so slow. It was quite a chore to pick it up, so little happened. It felt like the whole book could be shortened to 50 pages and the story remained the same. Maybe it just wasn't the right time for me for this one but unfortunately I couldn't get behind it. Rukh and Priya friendship were the only parts I cared about reading. I essentially had to skim through the rest because I had a hard time paying attention. Can't love em all!
